Deposit and Payment

Upon making an order with Forget Me Knot Hire Boutique you will receive confirmation that the Goods and Services you have requested are available for the requested quantity and date. To secure the hire of the Goods and Services with FMK Hire you will need to pay a non-refundable 20% deposit to FMK once you have agreed to the terms and conditions. You have 7 days to pay the deposit to secure the order. If it is not paid within the given timeframe you no longer have secured the order and the Goods and Services can be allocated to someone else.

An invoice will be sent to you for the remainder of your balance due and needs to be paid 7 days before your hire period begins.

Cancellation or amendment of date

Monies paid are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation or amendment to the date of the hire of the Goods and Services by the client. A new deposit will be required to secure a new hire, unless otherwise stated by FMK Hire in writing.

No assignment of hire agreement

The client shall not sublet the Goods to any other person but this shall not prevent employees of the client using the goods in conformity with this agreement.

No warranties by Client

The client acknowledges that, save as contained herein, FMK has not made any representations or given any warranties as to: the suitability of the Goods for their intended purpose; the condition and/or quality of the Goods and/or the Services; its expertise in advising the client as to the appropriate Goods or Services to be hired; its expertise in performing the Services.

The person signing this document on behalf of the Client (if not the client) warrants that he/she has the authority of the Client to make this contract on the Clients behalf and that he/she is empowered by the Client to bind the Client to this Agreement. The person signing hereby indemnifies the Client against all losses and costs that may be incurred by FMK arising out of the person so signing the agreement failing to have such power of authority.

Ownership of the Goods remains at all times with FMK

The client has no right, title or interest in the Goods except insofar as they were hired to the client in terms of this agreement. The client shall forthwith on request by FMK advise FMK of the whereabouts of the Goods and allow FMK reasonable time to inspect and test the Goods and for such purpose the client gives irrevocable leave and licence to the FMK team to take possession of the Goods, remove the same and to enter upon any premises where the Goods or any of the same or any part thereof may be.


Loss or damage to the goods


The client shall pay to FMK the full replacement cost of any goods which are lost, stolen or damaged beyond reasonable repair during the hire period. 


Where a quotation is given by Forget Me Knot Hire Boutique Limited Group trading as Forget Me Knot for goods and services, the quotation shall be valid for thirty days from the date of issue and the quotation shall be inclusive of goods and services tax unless specifically stated to the contrary, however FMK has the option to withdraw the quote within that 30 day period. Where goods and services are required in addition to the quotation, the customer agrees to pay for the additional cost of such goods and services. A deposit is required on confirmation of the order.

Care and return of the goods

The client or his/her authorised agent must be present when FMK team collect the goods. If the client fails to be present he/she shall not be entitled to subsequently dispute the amount of, or condition of, the Goods recorded collected by FMK.

The client promises to read our Inventory Care Guide to prevent damage to our goods and to prolong its wear. Additional fees may be charged if the Inventory Care Guide has been ignored as a result of damages to our goods. All items are to be returned in its original packaging it has been supplied to the client in.

Inventory Care Guide:


Although our cutlery is made from quality stainless steel we prefer to hand wash these ourselves to prolong their wear. The responsibility of the client is to rinse all cutlery from any excess food, pat dry with a towel and place back into the cutlery containers.

Please DO NOT leave our cutlery soaking in water.


Vases must be returned free of florals / water and in the packaging they have been supplied to you in. Any chips/ cracks or damage to the vases will result in full replacement of the goods.


Remove all taper candles and tea light candles from the candle holders.


Remove all string / florals from our sign holders.



No claim relating to goods and services will be considered unless made within seven days of completion of the hire date
